5 June 2000 - we have moved to Scotland!

From 5 June 2000, Quite Software have relocated 400 miles from London, England to the highlands of Scotland. Working from an imposing Victorian baronial house, Carraig Thura ("the turret on the rock"), sandwiched between mountain and loch, we trust that the clear air and tranquil surroundings will help us produce more and better products for you! Our new contact details are as follows:

  • Write to: Carraig Thura, Lochawe, Near Dalmally, Argyll, PA33 1AF, United Kingdom.
  • Fax: +44 1631 574088 (in UK: 01631 574088; in USA: 011 44 1631 574088)
  • Telephone: +44 20 8553 6574 (in UK: 020 8553 6574; in USA: 011 44 20 8553 6574).

5 April 2000 - Updates to plug-ins available now

Logo

Updates are available now to all of our plug-in products: Quite Imposing, Quite Imposing Plus, and Quite A Box Of Tricks. For convenience, all have the same version number, 1.2f.

This latest version fixes a problem that could occur in any plug-in with certain PDF files. The error Expected 'El' while parsing an image would stop the plug-in from working. Although this error occurs very rarely, it isn't possible to predict when it might strike so we do advise updating. Updates are free!

These releases also collect together all other corrections and enhancements that have been posted to individual users with specific problems, and add full support for Adobe's new Acrobat 4.05. One enhancement is the ability to turn Adobe Illustrator gradient fills and meshes into greyscale in Quite A Box of Tricks. Another is a choice of different crop mark styles in Quite Imposing, including "half way" marks which may help with folding certain documents.

To download, please visit the Quite Imposing download or Quite A Box Of Tricks download page.
