XMAS RAT'S NEW NEST

Wolf was in a very good mood,
For his nest was full of nibbely food.

It was a nice place for him to nestle,
He had a nice friend whom he could wrestle

But at night he slept with lumps in his bed,
And a blustery draught blew onto his head.

So he made up his mind to leave his nest,
And he packed all his cookies, the ones he liked best.

He first tried a quilt he'd found with no fuss,
But soon found out it was too dangerous.

He next tried a wardrobe with clothes soft and warm,
But soon realised they could do him some harm.

He found a bag opened, inviting him in,
But was spiked by a brush that was sharper than pins.
He carried on searching and came to a drawer,
It was slightly ajar and could be reached from the floor.
Wolf hopped on inside, t'was as deep as a well,
It was really quite empty except for a smell.

Wolf followed his nose to the back of the drawer,
He peeped over the edge and liked what he saw.

It was soft, it was warm, ooh it was snug,
For the first time he slept like a bug in a rug!
